Renu Sachdeva
Eclectic Artist
Renu started painting as a hobby, in 2011, after quitting the corporate world to
become a Counselling Psychologist. Since then, she has been experimenting with a
wide range of modern and traditional art and craft forms including Acrylics,
Charcoals, Pastels, Watercolours, Mandalas, Doodle-art, Madhubani,
Decoupage, Lippan, Coffee painting and others.
She is fascinated by the deep symbolism of The Tree of Life and, hence, abundant
trees, leaves and flowers have been the subjects of most of her work. She has
recently started exploring abstract art forms.
Renu finds the process of creating art and craft to be highly therapeutic and
addictive. Also, very energising when it involves upcycling and re-purposing
everyday household objects.
As an Integrative Therapist and Life Skills Trainer, she adopts a Mind-Body
approach that includes drawings and metaphors for diagnosis as well as for
therapeutic benefit. Her educational qualifications include MBA, Bachelors in Maths
and Psychology and PGD in Counselling and Family Therapy.
"Creativity is contagious, pass it on."
